FADA MEKUS LAA NA UDO KACHI BOO NDI MUO-OZI DULAA GI N’IGWE - FROM REV FR PAUL IKECHUKWU OGUJIOFFOR
I find it difficult to articulate anything because I never excepted it will be you, REV FR CHRISTOPHER EMEKA ASUZO at this point in time. From 1988 when we took our WASC in St. Peter’s Seminary Okigwe we realized that we were brothers, in October 1990 when we went to Spiritual Year Seminary Ehime as the 2nd set of seminarians, you were the youngest of our set, today you are the first to answer the “eternal yes” to him who called you to the priesthood. Like Samuel, you have holistically offered to Yahweh the sacrifice that caused you everything within these years in His vineyard [cfr. 2 Sam. 24:24], to Him be Glory and Honour forever. Amen. After our Philosophy in June 1995 and your one year apostolic work as the Rector’s Office auxiliary 1995/1996 academic year in SPS OKIGWE, we had a long distance separation because of theological studies in Innsbruck Austria. From 25/08/2002 – 29/08/2002 when you were still a deacon with Rev Charles Okereke, we were together again in St. Peter’s Seminary Okigwe, this time I preached a Spiritual Retreat to you before your priestly ordinations on 30/08/2002 & 31/08/2002 respectively. Sincerely, I enjoyed to the fullest your close companionship which brought the reminiscence of your humility, sincerity, jovial, simplicity, holiness and the thrilling voice of a brother so dear and open minded like you Oh death you have met the ONOPRA and took our two young priests (Fr Martin Emeka Diribe & Fr Christopher Emeka Asuzo) with the same year 2002 of priestly ordinations. We thank God that He allowed you to offer sacrifice of Masses and administer the other Sacraments to His people within these years of agony, May God Who is so Merciful grant you eternal rest in his eternal kingdom. Amen. Fr Emeka rest in peace. Fr Mekus good bye till we meet to part no more. FROM, REV FR PAUL IKECHUKWU OGUJIOFFOR ROMA-ITALIA
